Achilleon in Essen

Very, very tasty food. French fries were delicious, crispy and well salted, the meat just tender and perfectly seasoned. The only thing I missed was the rice that one is otherwise used to. But that's whining on a high level. You sit very comfortably in the restaurant and the staff was friendly. I would come back anytime. Price performance is great.

Very good food! Modern equipment. Well resolved with the partition walls because of Corona. When we're in Winterberg, we always go to eat there.

Impossible wait for a better chip shop. Absolutely disrespectful behavior towards older customers. The food was slapped on the table after almost 2 hours. The fries were dripping with fat, the meat was lukewarm, the starter was absolutely salty and the children's plate was simply forgotten but still charged. Not recommendable.

I always feel welcome and as a friend of the house - I receive friendly service, great service, delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere when the weather is nice in the cozy beer garden with a spacious area for children to play. Always happy.

Food quality is unfortunately not enough for us. We went back to the Achilleon after a long time because we didn't feel like driving first. We sat very nicely in the big garden. The wasps bothered us a lot when we were eating, of course the restaurant can't help it. The mixed starter (28) was good and plentiful. The main course gyros or mixed plates unfortunately didn't taste good at all. The meat was generally too dark and tasted burned. In addition, there is a spice in the food that tastes similar to savory, absolutely not our taste and very dominant. The restaurant was very well attended, probably many are satisfied here and we have a strange taste.

My absolute favorite greek in Essen. In the garden you can spend the whole evening great. The starters, especially the starter platter, are highly recommended and the main courses are also delicious.

As always a nice evening in this great beer garden. The food was delicious and although it was very full we were served friendly and nice. Really recommendable. We have been coming back often and happily for 30 years

The staff is totally overwhelmed and unfriendly, gyros were very rubbery and not really through. I could leave half of the plate. Not recommendable

A beautiful beer garden with a great children's playground. Children are welcome and were given a little ice cream on the house. The service was very attentive, courteous and quick. The portions are generous and all of them tasted very good in large groups and lacked nothing. Definitely worth a recommendation!

We were there today with 10 people for the surprise party for our 50th birthday. Nice beer garden. That was it with the positive. The food was not good. Metaxa sauce was based on tomato sauce. The staff went out of their way, but was obviously overwhelmed. Not recommendable in my view.

Almost too lavish menu, the food was relatively fast, really nice arranged, tasty and each of us was full. The service was attentive and you can also sit outside, really nice beer garden with a nice playground for the little guests. One point deduction for the quality of the steak, the dish was unfortunately not so intoxicating.
